When we are successful, there will be a
6-PRONG SOLUTION :
1- Toll-free, in-country phone number for women and children to call for immediate assistance.
2- Marketing of that phone number at airports, transportation centers and in the media as a “public service announcement.”
3- Victim is picked up by a special “violence against women” unit of the police department and consulate and authorities are notified in writing.
4- Victim stays in private shelter or pro-bono hotel room while travel arrangements or job services are made in coordination with UAE LAW Directory.
5- Special unit of the police escorts victim to the airport, through immigration, to the gate, and on to the plane.
6- Abuser or trafficker is prosecuted to the highest extent of the law!
