In January 2008, we changed the focus of UAE LAW Directory from providing legal information on United Arab Emirates law firms to helping it’s most under-served residents. Unfortunately we had become aware of numerous examples of women (female executives, employees, spouses, tourists) unable to leave abusive situations or get proper legal advise in the UAE and decided to do something about it.
We will now do everything possible to bring about SOCIAL CHANGE and LEGAL PROTECTION to help women in the UAE. Our initial focus is on helping ex-pat citizens that are in life-threatening and abusive situations and have no where to turn and ultimately to help any woman or child in this situation.
We have no political agenda. We aim to shed light on the problem, send financial support to an underground network of shelters that are helping the best they can, and most importantly ask you to be part of the future solution.
Women and children in the UAE are hurting today and very few hear their cries. We do.

Two specific items we need immediately are Financial support and introductions to people that can assist us achieve our mission: The establishment of a privately run,
government-supported social agencies and support mechanism to help women and children,
victimized by physical abuse, human trafficking and worse.
